Attorney Kyle Kaufman earned his law degree at the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois, in 2005. He returned to Wisconsin and successfully completed the Wisconsin Bar Examination in 2005. Attorney Kaufman is a great attorney and he has a highly reputable law practice.
Attorney Kaufman focuses solely on divorce and family law actions, including child custody and placement matters, child support hearings, and paternity proceedings. Attorney Ryan Kautzer focuses his practice on family law and estate planning. His work as a trial attorney has earned him a reputation among clients and court personnel for skill, competence, and success. His family law services include divorce, child custody and placement matters, paternity, child support, and guardianship proceedings. He also offers cooperative divorce services.
Attorney Kautzer practices throughout southeastern Wisconsin including Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Washington and Fond du Lac counties.

Attorney Jacob Birenbaum is a Random Lake native and graduated from Random Lake High School in 2010. He went on to earn degrees in Politics & Government and Psychology at Ripon College. He obtained his law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2017.
Attorney Birenbaum has extensive experience litigating criminal cases and obtaining great results for clients. He has also served as guardian ad litem in family cases, advocating for children in divorces, CHIPS proceedings and guardianships. Attorney Birenbaum now focuses his practice on family law. He is dedicated to meeting client goals, advocating for their interests and providing a positive attorney client experience.
Jacob is also involved in his community where he serves on a local parish council. He enjoys reading and spending time with his wife, Alexia, and two children.

Attorney Jon Troe attended the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis on a full scholarship graduating cum laude in May 2022. After joining the Minnesota Bar in October 2022, Attorney Troe practiced in Northern Minnesota as both a private practitioner and public defender with a majority of his criminal cases resulting in a stay of adjudication.
In 2023, Attorney Troe joined the County Attorney’s Office in Jackson, Minnesota, where he focused on non-felony criminal, CHIPS, child support, delinquency, truancy, and guardianship/conservatorship cases for the entire county. While at the County Attorney’s Office, Attorney Troe designed and implemented a new truancy diversion program, worked closely with social services, and secured dozens of convictions at trial.
Attorney Troe focuses on divorce and family law actions including child support, custody and placement matters, CHIPS, guardianship and more. His diverse experience in both public and private practice provide him with the skills and strategies to advocate for clients facing complex issues. He will primarily be practicing in Sheboygan, Ozaukee and Washington Counties.
Attorney Troe moved to the Mequon area to be closer to his significant other’s family. He passed the Wisconsin Bar Exam in July 2024 and was sworn in before the Wisconsin Supreme Court that following September. In his free time he enjoys spending time with loved ones, writing, and exercising.

Awards and Achievements
In April 2021 Attorney Troe received the University of St. Thomas Mission Award for Scholarly Engagement and Societal Reform for his research and advocacy on warrant reform in Minnesota.
In November of 2023 he was selected by the Office of Justice programs in Minnesota to be a member of the Minnesota Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program. The Board determined how to apply millions of dollars in federal funding to address the rise in gun violence.
Attorney Carly Thiel attended the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law graduating in May of 2024. Before attending law school she earned her B.A. in Political Science and a minor in English from St. Norbert College.
Attorney Thiel focuses on all family law matters including divorce, guardian ad litem work, paternity, and CHIPS matters. She practices in Sheboygan County, Ozaukee County, Washington County and surrounding areas.
Attorney Thiel has worked closely with Attorney Kautzer who has taught her to be diligent with any task she is faced with, transparent and honest with clients and to approach every day with a positive attitude. Her previous work experience as a research assistant at the Law Offices of Armen R. Vartian, a legal intern at HKK and at the UIC Law Veteran's Clinic has helped her live out our core values of being a dedicated advocate who is accountable, approachable and responsive.

Attorney Hawley is an active member of the community. He served on the Random Lake Board of Education for 20 years, including 19 years as president. In recognition of his service to the school, a library and scholarship were dedicated in his name.
The National School Boards Association gave him an award for distinguished service, recognizing his work as president of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and president of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association.
